The UK Events Summit 2021, run by Major Events International (MEI) in partnership with the Women’s Sport’s Alliance Global Summit and in association with ecolibrium’s partner Cube International, will be held on the 15th December 2021 at Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester, with ecolibrium joining as an official sponsor and helping MEI tackle the event’s travel carbon emissions.
MEI will be working with ecolibrium to track speaker travel emissions, looking for ways to reduce them where possible and making a donation to ecolibrium’s climate solutions programmes to balance unavoidable emissions. All delegates to the UK Event Summit 2021 are invited to tackle the environmental impacts of their travel with ecolibrium by using our carbon calculator to measure travel CO2 and make a carbon balancing donation, which will be invested in renewable energy generation or help support ecosystem protection and regeneration.
The event is an opportunity for event organisers to meet, share best practice and learn new strategies for making events safer and more profitable for a busy 2022. The Summit will feature all areas of the UK events industry, which involve paid access and have sponsorship potential; sport, gigs, festivals, air shows etc. The event sets out to help organisers better mitigate risks, run events more efficiently and enhance the fan experience.
Cube Modular are hosting the ‘Sustainability and your part in it,’ panel featuring ecolibrium’s CEO, Chris Johnson, Global Host Cities Director, Judith Rowan, and the E-Bike Grand Prix Series, with more speakers tbc.
MEI invite ecolibrium’s festival members to join Parklife, Manchester Festival, Cambridge Folk Festival, Bearded Theory and many more organisers, sports events and local councils to attend the event for free – and are offering ecolibrium’s supplier members a 25% discount.
